I'm Alberto Navalón Lillo, a 19-year-old Spanish university student in love with many things —I won't even try to go through them all, but I will list some—. You may know me because of Google Code-In, or maybe you came here from one of my projects out there on the internet. But whatever the case is, welcome!
I took my first steps in the computer science world at around age 7, and since then I have developed a very strong (some would say toxic) love-hate relationship with programming, and everyday I question myself about whether I should work as a fisherman in the Norwegian fjords instead. Apart from hating adoring programming, I also find it very appealing to hit piano keys in a certain way so that the sound coming out ressembles a Chopin waltz, and you can often find me playing around with obscure languages —and eventually trying to learn them—, and solving chess tactics problems conceived by prestigious Soviet grandmasters during the Cold War, just to then miss a forced en passant checkmate in my next tournament game.

The grand prize consisted of a 4-day paid trip to San Francisco, where we visited the city, Google's offices and their Sunnyvale campus, together with other winners from all around the globe.
